How often do I need to have my house cleaned?
Cleaning is an endless chore. Most houses and apartments need much more cleaning than people appreciate if they are to look remotely like what you see in glossy magazines.

We suggest starting with a springclean. The extra time spent on the first clean will reduce the time spent on subsequent cleans, saving you money. Once your home is clean a fortnightly regular service is the minimum for maintaining cleanliness.

Of course, more frequent services will ensure you home is always clean, dust-free, and sparkling!

What sort of work will my cleaner perform?
CHARS tailors its service to your needs. Whatever you require, we will do. However, CHARS regularclean includes a thorough clean of the kitchen and bathroom; dusting and vacuuming of all living areas and bedrooms; and mopping of all hard floors. CHARS also offers additional services such as; oven cleans; fridge clean and defrost; laundry and ironing service; bed service; and more.

Do I need to provide cleaning products and equipment?
No. CHARS uses all its own products and equipment, saving you time and money.

We use high quality green products that clean away dirt and grime. We apply our green products with high tech micro fibre cloths, efficiently drawing away unwanted surface residue and moisture. We guarantee to use fresh cloths for each client, and procedures that ensure NO cross contamination between the bathroom and kitchen. We dust with pure wool dusters, protecting the most fragile of ornaments, and vacuum with power cleaners, reducing allergy causing particles to a minimum. And our micro fibre flat mops remove the most stubborn of floor marks, whilst getting into the tightest of corners.

What does cross contamination mean?
To ensure hygiene is maintained when cleaning, cleaners should have procedures that separate equipment used in bathrooms and toilets from equipment used in kitchens and living areas. This includes all cleaning cloths, scourers, brushes, mops, gloves, and buckets. In addition, fresh cloths should be used for each client. Don’t assume your cleaners are abiding by these procedures. Procedures for ensuring no cross contamination add considerable cost to cleaning in both equipment and labour. If you are using a budget cleaner, ensure they have proper procedures in place. Ask them directly, and get them to demonstrate their procedures. CHARS is happy to explain our procedures to all our clients.

Do I need to be home when the cleaner is there?
It is not necessary for you to be at home when we deliver your service. But remember, if you are not home, we will need to arrange access.

What hours does CHARS operate?
Our normal operating hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. However, we are flexible, and for a small service fee, we can meet your needs.

How much it would cost to clean my home?
Everyone has individual cleaning needs, and of course the size of people’s homes varies. We like to arrange a free quote, so we can listen to your needs and tailor an individual plan. We have a minimum charge of two hours. Our rates are $35 per hour plus GST. For this price, we offer you clear guarantees, and the highest quality service. How do I pay for my service?
We will invoice you and you can pay by cheque, cash, or direct deposit.

What if I am unhappy with CHARS service?
CHARS have full confidence in the quality of our service. In the unlikely event that we don’t meet your expectations, we will rectify the problem free of charge. We value your feedback and your business.

What if I need to reschedule?
Rescheduling is possible with 24hrs notice free of charge.

How do I know that CHARS’ cleaners are trustworthy?
CHARS conducts a thorough check on all their cleaners. Most importantly, the owner takes full responsibility for any issues arising. Because we are local, and not a multi-national franchise, we are fully accountable – this means we deal with complaints with honestly, dignity, and face to face.
